Clay
is a U.S. Army infantry officer by training. He received his commission
from West Point along with a Bachelor of Science in Military History.
He went on to serve with distinction as a combat infantry officer
in the 1st Armor Division, and the 10th Mountain Division, rising
to the rank of captain. Having completed his term of service, Clay
moved into the civilian sector and has had a successful 12-year track
record at management level with several major corporations to include
Merrill Lynch, General Electric, and HSBC Bank.k

Clay
leads
workshops and training events throughout the UK, and has coached individuals
in the UK and America. Clay’s subjects of passion are personal
development and leadership (especially, personal leadership).
Clay
is often called in to lead motivational teambuilding events for senior
management teams, and enjoys challenging people to think beyond the
surface and really dig deep to explore what’s going on inside.
Clay
is the lead coach for the Solo Ascent program and works with a core
group of experienced coaches for the Ascent Experience.

Clay
is an avid adventurer. When he’s not coaching or training, he
can often be found hiking, rock climbing, or mountain biking. Clay
is the former captain of Team Taranis, which he led to a second place
finish in a 10-day adventure race in Borneo. He is now captain of
the newly formed Team Ascent.
